Although he has already had some experience with boys at his age, he does not seem to be able to build up a stronger bond with his own gender. This is mainly due to the fact that he feels because of his homosexuality as disregarded and marginalized. At least he maintains a very close friendship with Elli, who became his best friend during his baccalaureate. Her happy and combative nature impresses him greatly and with her help, he creates a well-functioning partner replacement: the typical youthful weekend escapism in the form of party, alcohol and drugs.
